This policy explains how Husky Sports collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information connected with the Husky Sports mobile application, website and related Club services.

Huskisson Bowling Club Ltd, trading as Husky Sports (Husky Sports, we, us or our), respects your privacy and handles personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information when you use the Husky Sports mobile application (App), our website or connected Club services.

- Information we may collect
Depending on how you use the App, we may collect:
- your name, date of birth and contact details
- your Husky Sports membership number and membership status
- your digital membership card details
- your member reward points and related account activity
- information you provide when creating or updating your account
- ticket purchases, bookings, promotion entries and transaction records
- your communication and marketing preferences
- information submitted through forms, enquiries, surveys or competitions
- device type, operating system, App version, IP address and device identifiers
- App usage, error reports and performance information
- push-notification details and settings
- location information, if the App offers a location-based feature and you permit access
- other information required to provide a service or meet a legal obligation.
We do not collect payment card details directly when payments are processed by an external payment provider. The payment provider may collect and retain those details under its own privacy policy.
- How we collect information
We may collect information:
- directly from you when you register for or use the App
- from your Husky Sports membership record
- when you buy a ticket, make a booking or enter a promotion
- when you contact Husky Sports or submit an online form
- automatically through the App, cookies and similar technologies
- from service providers that operate parts of the App or connected Club systems
- where permitted or required by law.
If you connect the App to your membership account, information held in the Club’s membership system may be displayed or used within the App.
- Why we collect and use information
We may use your information to:
- create, verify and manage your App account
- confirm your Club membership
- display your digital membership card and reward points
- process ticket sales, bookings, purchases and promotion entries
- provide information about Club activities, dining, entertainment and member offers
- send service messages, security notices and push notifications
- respond to questions, complaints and requests
- administer membership benefits and loyalty programs
- improve the App and analyse its operation
- detect fraud, misuse, security incidents or technical faults
- manage exclusions, restrictions or other responsible-gambling requirements where applicable
- comply with the Registered Clubs Act 1976 (NSW), Liquor Act 2007 (NSW), Gaming Machines Act 2001 (NSW) and other legal obligations
- protect the rights, property and safety of members, guests, employees and Husky Sports
- carry out other activities with your consent.
If you do not provide requested information, some App services may not operate. You can still contact the Club or use services that do not require the App.
- Marketing communications
With your consent, or where otherwise permitted by law, we may send you information about:
- Club events and entertainment
- dining offers
- membership benefits
- competitions and promotions
- other Club services.
You can withdraw from marketing communications at any time by:
- using the unsubscribe option in an email
- changing your notification settings
- replying STOP to an SMS where that option is offered
- contacting Husky Sports.
You may still receive messages needed to operate your account, process a transaction or provide important membership information.
- Push notifications and device permissions
The App may ask for permission to send push notifications or access certain device functions.
You control these permissions through your device settings. Turning off a permission may limit some App features but will not cancel your Club membership.
Husky Sports will only access location information if the App provides a location-based function and you grant permission.
- Disclosure of information
We may disclose personal information to:
- App developers, hosting providers and technical support providers
- membership, ticketing, loyalty and customer-management system providers
- payment processors
- email, SMS and push-notification providers
- professional advisers, auditors and insurers
- regulators, law-enforcement agencies and government bodies
- other parties where you have consented
- another organisation if Husky Sports undergoes a restructure, merger or transfer of operations
- any person or organisation where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
Service providers may only use the information supplied to them for their agreed service or as permitted by law.
Husky Sports does not sell your personal information.
- Overseas storage and disclosure
Some service providers may store or process information outside Australia.
Where personal information may be disclosed overseas, Husky Sports will take reasonable steps required by Australian privacy law. The countries involved may vary according to the service providers used by the Club.
You can contact Husky Sports if you would like current information about overseas storage or processing associated with the App.
- Data security
Husky Sports takes reasonable steps to protect personal information against:
- loss
- misuse or interference
- unauthorised access
- unauthorised alteration
- unauthorised disclosure.
Security measures may include access controls, passwords, system monitoring, secure hosting and staff procedures.
No internet service or electronic storage system can provide complete security. You should keep your password, device access code and membership account details private. Contact Husky Sports promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
- Retention and deletion
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably required to:
- provide App and membership services
- maintain business and transaction records
- meet legal, accounting and regulatory requirements
- manage complaints, disputes or security matters.
When information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete it or remove identifying details, unless the law requires us to retain it.
Deleting the App from your device does not automatically delete your Club membership record or information already held by Husky Sports.
You may request closure of your App account or deletion of information by contacting Husky Sports. Some information may need to be retained for legal, regulatory or legitimate business purposes.
- Accessing or correcting your information
You may ask to access the personal information Husky Sports holds about you or request a correction if the information is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.
Contact Husky Sports using the details in section 15. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
In some cases, the law may allow us to refuse access. If that occurs, we will explain the reason where legally permitted.
- Children and minors
The App is intended for Husky Sports members and other authorised users.
A parent or guardian should supervise a minor’s use of the App. Husky Sports will not knowingly collect personal information from a child through the App unless it is reasonably required, permitted by law and provided with appropriate consent.
The App does not change the Club’s conditions of entry or the rules applying to minors within licensed premises.
- Third-party websites and services
The App may contain links to external websites, ticketing services, payment services or other third-party platforms.
Husky Sports does not control the privacy practices of those third parties. You should review their privacy policies before providing personal information.
- Privacy complaints
If you believe Husky Sports has mishandled your personal information, please contact us and provide:
- your name and contact details
- a description of your concern
- relevant dates or supporting information
- the outcome you are seeking.
We will acknowledge and review your complaint and aim to respond within a reasonable period.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner through www.oaic.gov.au.
